About Me

Hello and thanks for visiting my website. I am currently an Associate professor in the Department of Social Work at California State University San Marcos, Associate Director for Teaching & Learning in the Faculty Center, and a former Research Fellow in the RWJF Social Work Health Futures Lab. I graduated with my PhD in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University (GoRams) and my MSW & MPA from Eastern Washington University. I was trained as a mental health clinician and later moved into the nonprofit administration and organizational practice arena. My main research focus is on understanding and integrating digital and new media literacies into social work education at the intersection of Futures & Foresight practice, equity, and analyzing the impact of digital technologies on individuals, families, and organizations.  I also consult with organizations on program evaluation and strategic foresight. This blog represents several ideas I am pursuing, and thus may act as a cornucopia of thoughts, ideas, and life experiences. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Hope you enjoy this blog and be sure to find me on Twitter as well 🙂

Hey brother, I have some questions about your website. Can I get an e-mail address to contact you.

Specifically, I want to know if you are hosted at WP and if you have a premium theme.

    Thanks!

      Hi Jimmy,

I really love your work and been following you on social media, I am a social work graduate who has been working with two social media platform in SA providing digital skills workshops. Your platform really excite and give birth to me as I would like to reinvent and help other social workers who are unemployed in SA and also think the descipline is dull and can’t play part in the future of work.

I would love to connect with you in order to share some ideas on how I can start what you have done so far.

Your response would be super valuable.

      Kind regarda
